Human Development & Family Studies

About the Department of Human Development and Family Studies
The department offers UG, PG and Ph.D programmes. The curricula facilitate students to learn and gain practical, transferable skills that will prepare them to interact with a wide variety of people throughout their career. Students find opportunities to study a wide range of human services and diverse populations while attaining an understanding of human development across the life span and the influences of the family and the community on development. In addition to this, students do acquire knowledge on advocating for new social policies and programs and also developing new models to prevent and treat social, emotional, and behavioural problems. They also learn to develop better interpersonal skills with constant interaction with their micro and macro environments such as within families, schools, communities and work place. They can explore evidence-based interventions to improve better quality of lives.
